1850 March 13th Plowing & mending up Log
Heaps Windy & moderate - weather

14th Raining this morning took down some good
Tobacco & Pack it in Hhd 10 Layers
Sent Jordan to mill Halled up 1 stack
Blade fodder - opned all our good
Tobacco. & Finished prizing all our Lugs
Plowing for corn, Fed etc Faned out Oats
this morning & then he went to cut Logs in new ground etcHouse

15. Finished Cutting House Logs & began
to sew oats by Janes House

16. Prizing Tobacco & took down good Tobacco
in Prize Barn. Turned out Lugs & short
& put good Hhd Tobacco under Prize
Mr Crews nearly ½ this day —

17. Rained nearly all day I went to Mrs Hunts

18. cloudy & moderate weather prizingMr Crews
good Tobacco ½ day Henry gone to shop
with waggon Balance of them
forking up manure in cow Pen

19. Plowing for corn Halling Barn
Logs at new ground & cleaning up
for coltering cleared off & fine weather
manured Plant Beds Halled leaves
to Stables & began to sew Oats again
at 12 Oclock, windy day.

20 Sewing Oats Halling out manure on
Sweet Potatoe Patch cleaning up new ground

21. Raking & Burning leaves in new ground
Sewing Oats, Hitched Logan yesterday
to Plow & he Plows elegantly cloudy all weekthis

22 Halled up Stack Oats this morning
Logan [rioting?], Balance Sewing Oats
Began to colter in new ground. Hewing
gate Post etc etc etc.
