Gathering Peas tops etc etc. 23 Frost this morning stacking tops. quite cool this morning 24th a little frost this morning clear & cool —— 25. no frost this morning stacking Tops & Done this evening clear fine weather 2125 sticks sticks of Tobacco cut in all first cutting 26. Housing Tobacco filled new ground barn & middle barn at home & some^{to go}in prize barn the 27th Sept 1848 — 27. Housing Tobacco this ^{quite cool}morning 28. ^{cut all our good Tobacco in Lot etc}Sent to Doct Whites Mill 7½ Bus corn & 1 Log for Railing for yard Hanging Lot Tobacco which we cut yesterday began to Hall & House in prize barn 29.
