1846 April 4th Planting Snaps & Corn in Garden
Sewed flax in second years Ground

6 Sewed Pepper finished sewing oats. Fed
Coltering in new ground alse & Mallisa
hilling Philip going to mill & shop all day

7. Plowing for corn Coltering & hilling
in new ground Phil gone to Mr McCullock
after Sweet Potatoe Seed ours all rotten
Weather very pretty, ground a little hard
Lady Jane Lame - 8 Of our wild hogs
come up this morning, (4 out yet,

8 this morning raining, our Tobacco in
order prizing short Tobacco & Packing
good & fine this day, quite a cold rain
soon this morning warm an elegant season

9th Cleared off cool, took all of our
Tobaccodown nearly done prizing Lugs & short
Henry & Lila plowing for corn, Phil
halling manure on Sweet & Irish Potatoe
Patch, - have been packing down good &
fine Tobacco to day

10 Plowing for corn coltering & hilling in
new ground all of our wild hogs up

11th this morning & yesterday warm & cloudy
rained a little elegant weather for every thing
work the same as yesterday, except in the evening
to finish coltering lot at fodder stack

12th Raining this morning Manured our
Plant Beds yesterday ([illegible] this day in
