September 21 - 27, 1865

1865 Sept 21 Made 9 gallons
molasses fine day weather
about 3 weeks since any rainwe had

23rd Making molasses to day
made 12 1/2 gallons to day. made
this week 32 gallons & picked
out some cotton this evening

25. little Henry started to Lynchg
with Hhd Tobacco good. Mr. Bybee
goes & will sell the one he carries
for Estate to pay debts

26th Sept. 1866 [1865] Sallie & Mr Whitehead
started from here Cedar Hill
this day to liveatMrs. Wade in
Franklin, left her bureau &
bed stead here, we are making
molasses, rained a little last
night but clear this morning,
lent Sallie my buggy to Franklin

27th. Finished making molasses at
home this evening made here
a little over 40 gallons & will
commence if nothing happens
for Aspen Grove tomorrow
