1864 Sept 5.6. Rained last night in the
day We made pond at Still &
dug it out to make water run
in Tub to still Several from old
place came & helped all day
I am starting to machine to get
wool corded again, did not get it
Halled up apples & finished Toba[cco]
got 1 Turn corn from Plantation

7 Fixed still up to day & Pond
& stilled one still full for myself
mashing apples etc —

9 stilling & worming Tobacco pressing
out cider fixed up still this week
Stilling for old place doubled 2
times for Est JDH toll to come out

10th Began to pull fodder Gathered
Peas this evening went to meeting

14th Sent Henry to Plantation to see
about trashing Oats for Gov^ment
Pulling fodder Tying up etc
Stacked up 1 stack, stilling
most of this week, Large dark
Bay Horse Mr Whitehead bot has
come home priced $500, said
to be 5 or 6 yrs old
