June 2 - 9, 1964

1864 June 2nd. I went to CH after
Tax accts & did not get from 2
[master?] Rained this day.

3 June. Rained again. Finished striping
here & at aspen Grove to day
Thinning Corn & drawing Tobacco plants -
Halled some wood this morning.

4th June. Rained nearly all day.
Planted some Tobacco — Henrys yetsick
Henry been sick since Thursday.

6 Finished planting Tobacco, Bushing
Oats this evening Smith Plowing —
clear pretty day. Sent to the wounded
soldiers In Lynchg by Jas M Harris
1 peck Black Peas, 1 Doz onions, 1 Doz
Eggs & over 1 lb Butter, -

7 Finished planting Tobacco, replanted
new ground piny field. Plowing
& weeding corn, Sent to Mr Glenn
this morning after nannie
Basket etc & sent her Collard plants

8 Plowing & weeding out Lot sorgum
9 Do Do Some body broke in
our Dug under our smoke house & got
most ½ the meat we had about 1 Bus flour
corn meal & some salt

here & at Aspen Grove today
