The principles of Faith in which the Baptist Church at Yates meeting House was Constituted August the 26 day A.D. 1814 article 1st We believe in the existence of one eternal God who has revealed himself to us in Scriptures in the character of Father, Son and Holy Ghost, and that these three are coequal, coessential and coeternal. 2nd we believe in the covenant of redemption in which the Father gave the Church to the Son and the Son engaged to bear all her sins in his own body on the tree, and the Spirit or the Holy Ghost engaged to sanctify the Church and apply the Justifying Righteousness of the Son to his Church. 3rd we believe the whole Church was born in sin and by nature the Children of wrath even as others and all destitute of power to perform works of real obedience

in love bear each others burdens and to forsake the laws of Christ pray for and admonish one another. 9 persons met at our church meeting house, all of which reciting the Articles of our minister and Covenant were considered to our satisfaction terms of doctrine and we all tried to avoid hindering or exhibiting an example or authority out of these that refers to other times with darkness. We do now unite for this great cause. To God we can rely on others to view, we fully unite in presence of the presbitery pertaining.
