The Com. appointed to enquire of bro. Jeffrey concern-
-ing his conduct to his Wife, report that they had
conversed with sd. brother Jeffrey concerning the charge
against him of beating his wife; and report to the
Church that the sd. bro. rendered [struck out: them] satisfactory
evidence to the Committee.
