Hephzibah Church in Conference Oct 1st 1921 Roll called and minutes of last meeting read Doors of church are opened applying Mrs. M. A. Pruitte is received by letter from Oak Grove Baptist Church Youngsville N.C. Sister Pattie Eddins is granted letter

Clerk is ordered to fill out letter to the Association The following delegates were appointed: E. V. Scarboro W. A. Oakley, Chas E. Liles, J. A. Wood, J. M. Gay a bill for cleaning out well, tent cloth and gas $24.40 [?] was presented and paid on motion a committee of five is appointed to suggest plan for building an outside entrance church building lot as follows:

Sick[?] Lizzie Alford, J.A. Woodruff, B.B. Weathers, Bennant Horton, and Mrs. Pattie Lee On motion Church goes into a session of electing pastor for ensuing year. Bro Pippin asks to be excused and Bro E.J. Scarboro takes chair. Nomination is called for and Bro. Pippin is nominated and unanimously elected to serve for 1922. Time of payment and salary same as for this year, 1921. Chair appoints Bro. J.A. Woodruff and Bro. N.D. Medlin to notify Bro Pippin of action of church. Visiting com reports Bro Butterworth about same. Sister Alvina McFarland right sick in Durham Hospital. No other sickness reported.

Sunday Oct. 2nd – 1921 Bro. Pippin calls attention that three of our trustees being away, Bro. A. J. Horton having asked for letter, and Bro. Jno. W. Underhill and Bro. William Horton now living in another state. Suggest we elect three successors. On motion Bro. B. Q. Weather, Raymond Horton and Chas. H. Underhill are elected. The present Board of Trustees are Jacoma Broadwell, E. V. Scarboro, B. Q. Weather, Chas. H. Underhill, Raymond Horton

Since last report God has seen fit to take from among our number one of our most faithful members [illegible] Bro. Rea died Oct. 12th 1921. L. L. Giles clk [?]
