the Baptist Church Meeting at Brother Burnetts on the first Sabbath & Saturday before of each succeed ing Month Commenc'd Feb 20, 1829
Feby March 15 & April Meetings were attended with little apparent success, more than several members expressed a desire to help [?] here thier own home being to far for thier com -fort
May meeting, after Brethren Miles & Stradley had been engag'd in leading Divine Service. A Door of invitation by the Church was opened, when Brother Peter Stradley & Naomy his Wife were receivd by experience
June meeting, after Brethren Freeman & Stradley had been engaged in leading Divine Service, the Church concluded twould be expedient to meet on Lords Day at Mr. Jarrats Ferry for the administration of the Solemn Ordinance of Baptism
Lords Day the Church met as above, we believe under the es-pecial influence of the Divine Spirit, Brother & Sister Stradley were Baptiz'd by Brother Freeman
I charge [?] the my Soul forget not that time of refreshing from the pressence of Lord, Thos. Stradley
July meeting after Divine worship a door was opened but without success Brother Stradley Preachd

Saturday Aug. 1 1829 After Divine Worship (led) by Brother Freeman & Stradley, a door was opend, when Brother Samuel Smith was receivd by letter from Flat creek Church NC also Sister Nancy Sams from Homany [?] Church at the same Meeting it was considered expedient to try the strength of the Church, towards a constitution being formed & a space left on the minuets for additional numbers

Septr. meeting 1829 after Divine Worship Sister Cook was receivd by letter from Bethel at wich [?] meeting it was unanim -ously agreed that we petition Newfound for letters of dismission in order to become a constitution which request was granted at thier Sept meeting
