On motion a door was opned for to receive new members
On motion the Buyseness respecting Bro. Allen was
call'd up he being not present was laid over
+ he ordered to be cited
The commite who was apppointed to draw up some
Biographacal Skeches of the life + Death of Sister Ann Durgan handed them in which being read was ordered to be recorded --
Whereas Ann Durgan who was a member of the
Baptist Church of Christ at Cashie M. H. Bertie County
hath lately departed this life. We your Commitee
deem it nessary for the information + Satisfaction
of this Church + there Successors to give the following
Biographacal Skeches of S. Durgan
Sister Ann Durgan the Widow of Jeremh. Durgan
(who was the former Paster of this Church) was borned
in the Year of our Lord 1734 on the 4th October In the
County aforsd., and fell asleep (as we trust in the Lord)
September 25th 1808. This Mother in Israel gave herself
a member of this Church at an early stage of her life
appeared to have espoused the blessed Doctrine of
Grace [?] in which she stood firm to her dying day
and also supported her standing in the Church worthy
of her profession Died in a Good old age + tho dead
yet she liveth -- may we shun her foibles, and
imitate her Virtues
