very ill again & suffers

much fr. pain in the head
& looks very haggard
& weak; she [Ellen]
is with him constantly
& seldom gets out poor
soul but now that a
brother of his has
come here she will have
more liberty, they seem
anxious to leave this
place & get back to
England & doctors & as
soon as possible, their
boy ([Dody] my grand-
nephew be it remembered)
is here too; what a sad
story a young man as
Sir David is struck down
