Sunday, December 19, 1948 - Robert & I went to Sunday School & Church at Liberty. I gave the Chidren their Christmas presents. Two of the Children gave me a present. When we got home we found we had company. Tom Lamb & girls were here. Mother had most of the dinner cooked. I just finished. I was real glad they came. John, Alma, Monroe and Erma came a little while. Robert & I got on the bus & went to Liberty for the Christmas program. The program was real good & they all knew their parts except Robert. He started to cry as soon as he got in the Chuch. When Rev. Curtis called on him. He said out loud that he couldn't say his as his arm hurt so he didn't try to say his part. He knew his Piece but I reckon he got nervous.
Monday, December 20, 1948 - Rex killed one hog today. I washed. Eddie & Betty came this afternoon & got Robert's Christmas tree for him and decerated it also. I got Uncle Brock to take a bath this afternoon. It sure is a job. His mind is so poor he can't do very much. His health is poor also for his feet are badly swolen.
