We Ironed. Fred Slaton came this afternoon and started painting the border on the house and around the doors, and windows. Betty Wiley came this afternoon after Uncle Brock's clothes. Eddie Kemmel came also. I read some tonight.

Thursday, October 30, 1947
Anna Belle came out with Fred today and spent the day with us. Fred ate dinner with us. Fred has been painting again today. I made a cake tonight and Mother dresses two chickens. I invited Elsie Hancock, Aunt Georgia and Mrs. Ed. Graham to spend the day with us tomorrow. Sat. is Mother's Birthday but I thought we would have the dinner tomorrow as we may go to town Sat. we usually go on Saturday.
