Friday, March 10, 1944 We washed today and are real tired. Miss Cassie Wiley came a little while this Morning. Loyd ate dinner with us. He is making me a small porch and steps at my Kichen door. Rex went to town, court met.

Saturday, March 11,1944 I ironed some and cleaned my room & kitchen. Rex went to town. Mary, Stella, Sis & Jim came this afternoon. Mother's new Bed-Room suite came this Afternoon. I think it is real pretty. Mr. & Mrs. Powell Jones came tonight.

Sunday, March 12,1944 Such a long and lonesome day. Mother, Robert & I have been at home all day. Rex went to the Island to see about his cattle. Mr. Tom James came tonight.

Monday, March 13, 1944 Mother cleaned her room today and I helped her hang her curtains. Miss Cassie Wiley this afternoon. Louis Gipson worked for Rex today.

Tuesday, March 14,1944 Loyd & Louis Gipson were here for dinner. They are helping Rex work. John brought Alma & Monroe this afternoon to see us. I went home with Alma & helped her carry Monroe.

Wednesday, March15, 1944 We washed today. Loyd, Charles Hopper and Louis Gipson were here for dinner. Loyd & Rex are putting the brick siding on the meat house and shed room. Lawrence came this afternoon.

Thursday, March 16, 1944 Loyd fixed me some shelves in the cellar. Charles Hopper & Louis Gipson were here today also. We ironed this Morning and worked some in the yard this afternoon.

Friday March 17,1944 Loyd & Louis were here for dinner. Lyod finished my shelves in the cellar. I washed my head. I went to Alma's this afternoon but she wasn't at home. I went to Loyd's but they wasn't at home either so I came home and carried my canned fruit to the cellar. Mother carried it to the back porch for me.

Saturday, March 18, 1944 We cleaned up the house. I went to Alma's this afternoon. She cut my hair & rolled it up for me. Uncle Brack came home. Dock brought him. He isn't any better. Dr. Finley says he has heart trouble.

Sunday, March 19,1944 It has rained nearly all day. Mr. & Mrs. Lee Wiley came this afternoon. I wrote Aunt Jannie tonight. Rex went to the Island to feed his cattle so he wasn't at home when our company came.

Monday, March 20, 1944 We cleaned up the house this Morning. We washed some for Robert this afternoon. Louis was here for dinner today. He is working for Rex.

Tuesday, March 21,1944 Mother ironed. We have done the general house work. We took empty jars and Books to the meat house and got most of the things out of the room we want for our living room.

Wednesday, March 22,1944 We washed today and worked some in the yard this afternoon. Lawrence and Gene came a little while late this afternoon.

Thursday, March 23,1944 We ironed today and worked in the yard. Uncle Brack isn't any better. Mother and I think he is in a awful bad shape.

Friday, March 24, 1944 Cleaned up the house and I painted some in the room I aim to fix for my Living Room.

Saturday. March 25,1944 I painted some in the Living Room this Morning and Mother got dinner. Robert, Rex & I went to town this afternoon. Mother stayed with Uncle Brack. He isn't any better.

Sunday, March 26,1944 I looked for Lin & Jessie this Morning but they didn't come until this afternoon. They said they got up too late to come this Morning. Uncle Brack isn't any better. I wrote Lorene Weir today.

Monday, March 27,1944 I painted the Base-Board and doors in the hall and doors in the hall and Mother got dinner. Mother & I raked in the yard this afternoon. Uncle Brack is some better.

Tuesday, March 28, 1944 We washed today even if it has rain today. W. H. Daughterty ate dinner with us. He is helping Rex work. I got a letter from Eula Vaulter. I read some this afternoon. Uncle Brack is better.

Wednesday, March 29, 1944 Miss. Cassie Wiley came a little while this Morning. We Ironed. I mended the clothes and fixed 2 pair of pants for Robert this afternoon. Uncle Brack is better. Read a little tonight.

Thursday, March 30, 1944 There is a little snow on the ground this Morning. Mrs. Jim Smith & Miss. Cassie Wiley came this Morning. Mother, Robert and I went to Mrs. Jones this afternoon. Rex went to town. the snow all melted. Robert sure likes Mr. and Mrs. Jones.

Friday, March 31, 1944 W.H. Daugherty ate dinner with us. He is helping Rex work. I have done the general house work. I washed the 4 windows in the Living Room this afternoon. Mother raked in the yard.

Saturday, April 1,1944 I painted the Living Room floor & Mother got dinner. Robert & I went to Miss. Cassie Wiley's a little while this afternoon. Mother & I raked some in the yard late this afternoon. I got a letter from Alyene Rogers.

Sunday, April 2, 1944 Rex went to the Island today to tend to his hogs & cattle. The rest of us stayed at home all day. Cousin Will Wilson came this afternnon. Uncle Brack don't feel as well today.

Monday April 3 1944 We washed today. I painted again this afternoon. Lawrence & Gene came this afternoon & ate supper with us. We had fish for supper.

Tuesday April 4 1944 Rex went to town today court met. We ironed. We tried to work in the yard some this afternoon but it was too cold to get much work done. I have been lonesome this afternoon.

Wednesday April 5 1944 I painted the floor in the hall and Mother got dinner. Dock ate dinner with us. Robert & I went to Miss Cassie's a little while & took uncle Brack's clothes for her to wash. We then went to see alma & monroe. Read some tonight.

Thursday April 6 1944 We washed some today & I painted the hall floor again. Mother, Robert & I took a walk. We went to see the bridge that was put in yesterday. We walked a little in the yard. I read some tonight. Uncle Brack is about the same.

Friday April 7 1944 We ironed some and have done the general house work. I covered a chair bottom for Mother this afternoon. I aimed to go see Callie Wiley this afternoon but Rex said she wasn't at home.

Saturday April 8 1944 Robert Rex & I went to town today. We took Robert to Jessie's then we went down in town. I got the Blinds for my Sitting Room. I went to the Show.
