Thro the Propitious Smiles of heaven
( after a Blustering Passage) we Arrived here the 4th Inst
since which we have Dispatched your ship for Tortuga,
under a good Convoy & Attended with about Twenty Sail,
which we hope by this Time are Safe there.
The Amount of the Freight Bill Cap Burton left with
Us is Two hundred Seventy two Pounds thirteen Shillg
& 3 which we are Collecting; but we must Promise to
you that for every Ton Ship for Spikor's we must
make an Abatement of [Dr?] Shillgs it being ye Customary
Allowance by all the Merchants or Masters here.
This being an Oblique Conveyance we must beg you
Respite our Pticular Account till ye first direct Opo=
:tunity which will be in a little time, & we shall then
Render you an Account of Sales, & of our whole Con:
:duct in your Affairs, & we Flatter ourselves we shall
Evidence such Industry, & Integrity; as will Encourage
your Future Applications to us.
