last seen stuck in the ice astern for
some during afternoon a large number
of ice bergs but no flow in sight
until 1 PM At 1.15 - PM Loch Garry
ranged up alongside of us Commanding
Officer signalld Well done Captain
Jones prosede to Upernavick landing
at proven if you met the Bear call
her with possible despatch. The Loch
Garry then steaming ahead At 3.15 PM
met heavy ice entered a lead everhauling
The Loch Garry she having stopped
on account of the Ice being to heavy
At 4 pm the Ice becomming to heavy
we were Compelled to stand forwards
the W ward through a lead followed
by the Loch Garry astern of us
passed the Steamer Wolf we forced
our way through the Ice and the
Whaler taking the open Water of our
wake astern and following During
early part of night passing through
broken ice imperced with larg Ice Bergs.

At 12.50 AM Land was sighted
3 points abaft Mdbeam during early
part of morning last night of the
Wolf At 4.30 AM Land could be seen
on Stbbow and beam it moving
hard all morning and [clearly]wet
weather looking for Upernawick
At 6 AM
