Saturday, November 29, 1919

Cloudy this morning & some rain this evening. Jim hauled some wood this morning. Ben & Josie went to Strait Stone this morning. I churned and stayed with the baby. She did not cry while they were gone.

Josie got dinner. I went to George Blair. Got there as the men folks come from work. Denny was there. He had bin hunting all the morning.

Denia and I went to see Mrs. Allen. She is very feeble. Mrs. Kellie & Mrs. Strange was there. The narce is a nice lookin lady. They are having a time there then[?]

Sunday, November 30, 1919

A good day. Jim & Ben rambled a round all day. Josie got dinner. I killed a chicken & dressed it ready to cook.

I went to see Kate & Mag. I eat dinner with Kate. She was at home by her self. This evening Dr & Pearl Wiggin and Charles & Irvin Harvey come to Kates. We were at Mags. I was glad to see the children.

I walked all the way home and nearly all the way there. Claude Edmons carried me on their car from our barn to the fork of the road at Johnson Reynolds barn. I was mighty glad of that much help.

Virginia Harvey went back to school to day.

Monday, December 1, 1919

A bright day. Jim & Ben loaded Mr Mayhews truck with their tobacco and they started to Boston this evening. I do hope that they will get on OK.

Henry & Edna went to school.

Josie & I fed the hogs tonight. Josie got supper.

Bessie (col) did not come in until a bout night.

I was at Carries a few minutes this morning.

Tuesday, December 2, 1919

A good day. Ben & Jim solde the last of their tobacco today. They were not pleased with the sales.

Charles Harvey come this morning and got the team & waggon and said he was going to haul his mother some wood. I was glad that he would get some wood for her.

I went to Marvins a few minutes this evening.

Wednesday, December 3, 1919

A colde day. Jim & Ben helped Mr Owen kill hogs.

I washed some. Bess (col) ironed.

I went to Marvins and stayed with the children while Marvin & Carrie went to Riceville to see Owen Smith married. Marvin come part of the way home. Ben and Josie had not gone to bed when I got home.
