A cloudy day and rain to night. Jim & Ben cut in the new ground today. The children went to school.

Josie got dinner. I sewed some on my quilt. Josie read some today and I have read tonight,

I went to Carries this evening.

Henry's duck died to day. I caught ten hens and put them up. I want Ben to carrie them to a store some where. 10 oclock

Thursday, January 22, 1920

A cloudy day. Some ice all day. The men could not work much. Ben shod the horses & Jim went to Renan & then hung up the meat to night. Ben & Henry has gone to Marvins. Josie got dinner. I ironed some. I sewed on my quilt. The children went to school. 10 oclock

Friday, January 23, 1920

A cloudy day. The boys could not do much work. Kate come down here. She wanted to see Jim & Ben on business.

Josie got dinner. She baked some nice corn bread.

I sowed on my quilt. I got breakfast and milked and fed the chickens and churned.

Tonight Jim & Ben has gone to Renan. The children went to school. 9 oclock

Saturday, January 24, 1920

A bad day, rained most of the day. The boys could not work out any. Tom Edmons come this morning taking census. Josie got dinner. I washed dishes. After dinner I finished a quilt that I pieced for Josie of her pieces. Tonight Marvin & Paul come. They are playing auto cards. Henry has a very bad cough. I am uneasy a bought him. The baby cried so that Josie had to quit playing. 9 30 oclock

Sunday, January 25, 1920

A cloudy day. Ben & Jim walked about all the morning.

I killed a chicken & got dinner. Josie washed and dressed the children. Carrie come a few minutes this evening. Today is Charles birth day. 9 oclock
