A beautiful morning. Cloudy and the wind blowing tonight. Ben cut some and burnt brush all day. Josie ironed some and got dinner and ironed some more. I sewed on a quilt and finished it this evening. Lizzie come tonight. Carrie come with her. Staid a few minutes. Henry & Edna went to Marvins tonight. Heard from Wills folks they are sick with flue. Rob Hubbards folks are sick.
A clear colde day & windy. Lizzie was with us all day. Carrie & the children come this evening a little while. Jim come home a bout dark. He said he walked from Gretna home. He said that there was two deaths in Chatham last night. I am so sorry that there is so much sickness a bout.
A beautiful bright day the coldest of the winter. So colde that the boys did not work. Lizzie went from here this morning. I hope she did not suffer much. Josie got dinner. I sewed a little. The children went to school. Ben & Jim went to Marvins a few minutes this evening.
A good day. Ben carried a load of wood to the school house this morning. Ren Worsham sent one. I am glad that they have it to burn. Jim split wood at the wood pile while Ben was gone. They went to Renan to night. There was no one at the store. Franklin is sick. I do hope he will be well soon. Henry & Edna went to school. Josie & I made out to get something to eat.
A good day. Not so colde. Ben carried some logs to the saw mill. Jim & Owen cut logs. Josie washed some. Henry went to school. Edna did not go. She has a very bad colde. Franklin is some better to day. I am about asleep. I had a card from Alma Bennett telling me that Lizzie & Earl got home ok.
