A good day. Ben and family staid at home all day. I was at Marvins. Carrie has a little girl. Kate Harvey was at Marvins. They sent Hazel over to Kates this evening. She will take care of her a few days.

A good day. Ben and Owen plowed some. Ben plowed in the garden.

I got dinner.

Josie made Ernest Lovelace a dress. Paul Smith and Roy staid here nearly all day.

They all did so well that we enjoy having them.

Josie went and bathed the baby this morning.

Mr Dews come this morning and got a pig. He paid $7.00 for it.

Paul Bennett come here today and went to work. He thinks he will make a crop of tobacco.

I hope he may stay and do well.

A good day. Ben went to Renan to try and get a horse to plow a few days. Did not get it. Josie went to Carries this morning and bathed the baby. After dinner Ben and Josie went to Strait Stone.

Children and I went to Carries. I replanted potatoes. Planted some gourd seed yesterday. Owen went to the mill to day.

A good day until near night there was a thunder cloud and rain.

Ben planted a little corn this evening.

Josie got dinner.

I went to Carries and dressed the baby.

This evening Mrs John Hutcherson come and all the children. The first time she come on a visit this year.

I went to Carries a gain this evening. Mollie Reynolds was there.

We are talking of going to Richmond soon.

A good day. Ben & Jim worked on Owens house. Lizzie and Earl Bennett went from here this morning. I hope that they got home without an accident. The roads is very bad. I helped Mr. Owen strip tobacco. We stripped all that they had in the pit and filled it up again. I went to Marvins a few minutes this evening. Kate Harvey was there. We came back by the grave yard. Eva had fallen out of her box and hurt herself right bad.

Josie staid at the house and got dinner.

Tonight Mr. Owen is here and they played cards.
