A bad day. It snowed the most of the day and to night it is raining. Ben helped Marvin strip tobacco this evening. I got dinner. Baked cracklin corn bread.

Josie pieced on her quilt. I finished two aprons that I had commenced. I wrote a letter to Ludy Pugh to night.

Henry has bin complaining all day. They are all a bed and sleep I guess.

A clear colde day.

We had a storm last night. It thundered and rained and the wind blowed very hard. Ben mended his fire place this morning then went to Renan. He helped Marvin strip tobacco this evening. To night he has gone to Strait Stone to the lodge.

I got breakfast this morning. Ben milked. Josie got dinner and washed dishes fed the chickens and calves. I have not tried to do anything out doors to day. Was afraid I might fall. I got a nice letter from Effie to day.

A good day. We all hands stripped tobaccco.

Josie come home at twelve and fixed a snack to eat. Kate Harvey come but I did not see her.

Hazel Smith has bin sick today. I hope she will soon be well.

I got a letter from Miss Bobsman wanting to board with me while she teaches school. Guess she will as no one else will take her.

A good day. We all stripped tobacco half of the day. Josie put new straw in some of the bed ticks and picked some pears. I went to George Blairs found all of the girls sick not in bed but should have bin. Mrs Anderson and Lizzie was there.

Mrs Anderson commenced a sweater for her boy Asa.

Ben and Owen helped Marvin strip tobacco this evening.

A good day. Ben and Owen plowed. Josie sewed some. Reese and Paul and Roy and Hazel come down here a little while this morning.

Josie and I tried to strip tobacco this evening. It got so dry that we could not tie it as it should be done. Kate Harvey come a little while late this evening. She wanted to see Ben. We walked over where he was plowing.

I have just finished stringing snaps for dinner tomorrow.
