A good morning rain this evening. Ben helped thrash wheat at George Blairs was there all day. Owen and Paul worked on the barns.

Josie washed this morning and was sick all evening.

Henry and Edna went to George Blairs this evening.

Marvins cow is sick tonight. Marvin went to preaching at Piney Grove this evening. Helped Mr Edmons home with his new car.

A good day. No rain yet here. Jim and Ben worked on the tobacco this morning. This evening Ben white washed the room that I sleep in. Josie made her a dress this morning. Julia & Edna picked a few berries. Julia stuck a barb wire in her leg. I hope it wont get sore much. A wasp stung Franklin. I hope it wont hurt him long.

Miss Fannie Power went with Mr Asa Anderson to Piny Grove to preaching. They are carrieng on. Protracted meeting there this week.

A good day. John went away this morning. Hope he got home ok.

We all staid at home for dinner. George Blair come a little while. He carried Fanny for spin and come back and then went to Mr Farmers for Isla. Ben went with us to Marvins then come home and carried Josie & Fannie & Julia and Edna to Piney Grove to preaching. I have just put Mabel in her bed. Henry and Franklin has gone up stairs to bed. I am tiered. It is hard to have to wait on folks that care nothing but a good time at some one else expence.

A good day. We need rain very bad. Jim plowed some this morning. Ben went to Richard Woodings and helped top his tobacco & thin corn. Richard is in a hospittle. There was some 7 or 8 men to help.

Josie washed a big washing this morning. This evening Ben & Josie & Fannie & Julia, Edna & Franklin & Mabel all went to the store. Tonight Ben & Josie and Fannie and Julia has all gone to Piny Grove to preaching.

I went to Marvins a few minutes. I lost my glasses this evening. We had I put them in a book and Henry carried them up stairs. Mr John Smith and part of his family come to Marvins this evening.

Capt Tate is dead.

A good day. Some clouds this evening but no rain to do any good. Jim & Ben & Henry worked in the tobacco all day. Fannie Power went to preaching to day. Ada Anderson carried her and then carried her home. We will miss her. Josie got dinner & supper. Her and the children went to Marvins this evening. Marvin went to the burial this morning.

I cut a few quilt peices this evening.

The meeting at Piny Grove closed to day. They had two sermons and dinner on the grounds.

Had tomatoes raised this year for dinner today.
