before they came to my House one
of them went down to Henrys house
& told them not to make up

then said he would shoot their heads
off & they then came up to the
House this morning my wife cant
find her breast pin & Doran
misses his gold Pencil these men
prove to be robbers. --

6. 7. 8. We have finished weeding
corn on creek Yesterday been to
Fannies & Mary James. Richard gone
with party to Lynchbg after these
Yankee robbers. started Yesterday
morning Plowing Peas Potatoes
& Cotton to day. Hot weather

8. June Sent clairborne ^with10 Bus. Corn
to D R Hunts Mill ^{for meal} Mary with
& Bill came in Margarets I
will not have any thing to do
with as scrugg's is her home
Old Billy has been gone some --
