23 & 24 Working on road halled up
oats Pressing out Cider etc
Rained smartly 23rd showering finethis dayday

25 Went to Plantation begun to
Still worming & succored over Tobacco

27 Rained last night Grinding apples
Stilled 1½ days

28.29 30.31 Delivering wheat
went to Mrs Lewis Bunel shrubing
worming & succoring Tobacco,
Cris has been here since Monday
morning 29.- Set 3 Bbls to hold
Cider at Mr Hunts place 2
from plantation & 1 from here
Sent for my molasses mill yesterday
Claiborne at work with Cris

30 Gave out negroes meat
1 middling here & at Plantation

31st Carried wheat to Depot 19 Bus
& 4 lbs wool. brot 2½ home.
Stilled 4½ day this week
making 7½ days in all

difficult to make out handwriting, same word is unclear 3 times, looks like "stilled." Could be "hilled" but that's not JWG's usual "h." Not sure about this page

The word IS stilled. I believe it is a way to measure tobacco
