dry in camp all day
nothing to day
wrote home
Tuesday 2 still warm and
dry wrote to J.R. Burnite
Bought a sadal took a
ride into town visited
the Hospital Received
a pledg from Capt D
Mauzer of Co D. that he
would not indulge in
gaming (__) for sport
while in the Reg written
and signed by himself
which is now in my
possession. the blue Ridge
is on fire Gen Milroy
issued an order the (__)
flag be hoisted on Mr
(__) house which
was done this evening and
the family ordered to
leave forthwith
am in good health
for which I feal
thankfull head quarters
took fire to day but soon
put out
