November 18: Gale S.East to South these 24 hours with rain first part of 24. Last part of 24 hours rain showers. Sea quite rough. General duties for the day. Keeper & 1st Asst putting new furnace pipe in Keeper side of dwelling. 2nd Asst went to Newport to post mail. Barometer 29.58.

19: Gale to fresh and moderate breeze S. to S.W. and West first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light West wind with frequent rain showers during 24 hours. Sea quite rough. General duties for the day. Barometer 29.37 to 29.88. Keeper went one half mile from station on business.

20: Light wind to moderate and fresh breeze East with frequent rain showers first part of 24 hours. Lst part of 24 hours gale South rain & thick weather. Sea rough. General duties for the day. 2nd Asst washing. Barometer 29.80 to 29.28 today.

21: Gale to moderate & fresh breeze South first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours moderate & fresh breeze S.E. rain thunder & lightning. Barometer 29.15. Keeper went to Newport after mail supplies. 2nd Asst mounting birds and washing & ironing. Sea very rough.

22: Fresh breeze to light S.E. wind with rain lightening & thunder first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours moderate to fresh breeze South damp. Sea very rough. General duties for the day. Barometer 29.78. 1st Asst showing 2 visitors in tower. 2nd Asst went out for a walk

23: Light S.East wind these 24 hours fair weather & cloudy and threatening. Sea rough. General duties for the day. Barometer 29.67. Keeper went to Newport after mail & supplies. 2nd Asst mounting birds and went hunting today.

24: Light S.EAst to East wind these 24 hours rain first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours clear fine weather. Sea quite rough. General duties for the day. Barometer 29.92. 2nd Asst mounting birds and went hunting for birds today.

25: Light wind to moderate and fresh breeze East to S.East these 24 hours with frequent light rain showers. Sea rough. General duties for the day. Barometer 29.52. 1st Asst putting dressing on his garden. 2nd Asst went to Newport.

Barometer 29.15 to 29.98. General duties for day. 2nd Asst went over to Mrs. Megginson after pumpkins. Sometime during last night there was a landslide and carried away the lower part of stairs leading down to the beach.

30: Gale South with hard rain & thick weather. Sea rough. General duties for day. Barometer 29.85. 1st Asst went to Newport to post monthly reports & get mail.

November 29, 1899: ...2nd Asst went over to Mrs. Megginson after pumpkins. Sometime during last night there was a landslide and carried away the lower part of stairs leading down to the beach.
