Gentlemen, 10th Novbr 1858.
On the 15th June last
I communicated to Mr Jackinson, one of your
Clerks - that the Officers of the Coast Guard at
Holmpton had a claim on the owner of the Vessel
"Stockton Packet" wrecked at Spurn Point on the 2nd
April last. - They watched her and her materials
for 4 days and 3 nights, - of which fact I have the
certificate of the master which I exhibited to you
the other day. I will therefore thank you to
request the owner to remit the necessary reward
for their Services. JS.

Mr Flucker will have the
goodness to explain, hereon, the grounds upon which
James Mason claims the piece of Kilson in question, - viz -
has he found it and claims it as salvor, or has he
purchased it. State whether the articles were found
floating or touching the ground and witness the mark
of Longhorn on the receipt. JS.
