On the 23 June last I sent
you an amended form upon which to return
Wreck Goods - with the 4th Column headed
like the blank one annexed. Did you receive
them? The one you sent me will do very
well - if you will fill up the 4th Column as
required by the new heading - Say also whether
the Cask is full:- and if not full the portion
that is filled. What did you send the second
for - addressed. The Receiver of Droits, Bridlington
District Hull. Reply soon, J. Sparrow

Master of the Vessel "Carl Auguste" of Koningsberg
from Taganrog, ran into the Steam Vessel
"Scandinavian" from Gothenberg and sank her.

Lieut Poynton, Patrington Custom House Hull 1st Septr 1857
Sir,
I beg to acquaint you that on the
18th Ulto Michl Tiddy reported to me - on a usual
printed form that a Boat 15 feet long - had
been washed on shore at Easington and
secured by George Courtney - she had in
her Accommodation of Goole John Taylor
Master Courtney has valued her at
£4.10.0. The owners agent has been with
me and has stated that the value of Courtney
is too high, he says £2.10 is her full worth -
Will you have the goodness to look into
the matter and let me know her
