A good morning rain this eve
& tonight. The boys suckered
tobacco this morning. Ben [drawed?]
the wheat out of the box. It
was heating. He intended going
to the mill if it had not
rained. Ben & Henry went
to the store tonight. Have
got in at nine o'clock.
Mrs Car churned and shelled
butter beans and scraped
potatoes. We get plenty
tomatoes now. Ella Hubbard
sent Josie a nice basket of
tomatoes by Nat Wooding
today. I got a letter from
Effie Brumfield today was
glad to get it am always
glad to hear from them
