A very rainy morning.
We are in Washington.
Willie went to Alexes [?]
this morning. He come
back and we walked
to the monument.
Went up in the elevator.
I did not want to go
but am glad that I
did. We come to
Richmond in the
night. Had a good
trip. Got to Richmond
a bout midnight.
Effies children was
all a sleep.
