1aβ. Terrestrial Vehicle Construction is of Vehicles to be propelled by the riders, Vehicles to be drawn by draught animals, Vehicles to be driven by motors. Vehicles to be propelled by the Riders are Bicycles, etc. Vehicles to be drawn by draught animals are those pushed by mean, as skates, snowshoes, wheelbarrows, and pushcarts, and railway handcars, and those drawn by quadrupeds, in connection with which there are a number of sciences, corresponding to the arts of Carriage building, Wheel work, Carriage spring making, Axle grease making, etc. Vehicles to be driven by motors either run on ordinary roads, as automobiles, or on railways, and are built by carbuilders, and sleeping car builders. These arts have various branches, such as the making of trucks, of brakes, of car windows, of car ventilators, of car seats, etc.
