They commit this sort of blunder.
[Drop a stone.] A person who should assert that what made that stone fall when it was let go from my hand was the " law of gravitation", would be like one who should confound the decree of a court for the sheriff's strong right arm.
That is the blunder which is doubly involved in each of these fallacies.
