Friday August 5, 1921

A good day. Some cloud
about but no rain. Jim
& Ben and Henry finished
going over the tobacco by
dinner. Today they hauled
rocks & sand to work on
the hearth in the dining
room. Josie ironed today.
I done something all
the morning. This evening
Reese carried Edna and
I to Whitefalls to fish.
I caught several.
Edna and Reese staid at
the car most of the time.

Josie put up six quarts
of tomatoes. Mrs Car
peeled the tomatoes. That
was a big help.
